The poor little girl arrived at the shelter with a hair band tied so tightly around her muzzle that it caused serious injuries. A heavy operation was necessary for the young dog to be able to eat again on her own. An investigation is underway.

The pet shelter Cincinnati Animal CAREbased in the State ofOhio to United States, took in an abused pup on May 13, 2022 who really needed help. Indeed, the little female arrived with a hair band tied around her tiny muzzle. “It is believed that the rubber band may have been used to stop the young dog from barking”denounced one of the team members to the Mirror.

The individual squeezed with such force that the rubber band cut deep into the animal’s bone. His muzzle was extremely swollen, which prevented him from eating and drinking. Shelter members named her Tiffany and took her to the vet.

Tiffany received urgent anti-infective treatment. Surgeons then removed the hair tie from her before stitching up the area in a painstaking procedure. The team of Cincinnati Animal CARE said on her Facebook post that the survivor had shown admirable courage during emergency care. One of the members of the shelter offered to spend the night by her side in order to monitor her state of health, but also to bring her the comfort she so desperately needed.

The next day, Tiffany expressed his gratitude and his desire to live. She was soon able to eat and drink on her own. At the same time, the animal rights organization PETA launched an appeal for witnesses in order to be able to apprehend the author of this act of cruelty.

Today, Tiffany finished his convalescence with the Good Samaritan who found him and then adopted him. A relief for the entire shelter team who knows that she is now in good hands.
